Midwest Control Products Corp · Bushnell, Illinois · Since 1967
Broad capabilities, deep inventory, and transparent, formula-based pricing, with no runaround. We've manufactured per-print parts for OEMs since 1967, and our team has the depth and the candor to help you get from application to delivery.
Midwest Control Products has manufactured in Bushnell, Illinois since 1967, 50+ years of building components for OEM customers across agriculture, construction, marine, industrial machinery, automotive accessory, lawn/garden, forestry, and more. We're ISO 9001:2015 certified and serve roughly 10,000 OEM and distributor customers worldwide. In North America, you're probably always within 100 yards of something we've made.
Our facility handles forging, hot upset forging, hot rotary swaging, hot press forming, machining, fabrication, plate and tube cutting and bending, powder coating, thermoforming, 3D printing, cable assembling, and kitting, tooling, and assembly under one roof. Broad in-house capability means shorter lead times, tighter quality control, and fewer handoffs between you and a finished part. We import where it makes competitive sense, our ball joint line for example, and manufacture in-house where it gives us a real edge, including our forged yoke ends and nylon-raced spherical rod ends.
Our pricing is based on formulas, not negotiation. That predictability is a feature: fast, consistent, and honest.
Our niche is specific, and we know it well. The rule of thumb is simple: if you find the product type in our catalog and it comes in lots of variations, thread sizes, body styles, materials, configurations, then regardless of your volume, we can compete. That's where our inventory depth and formula-based pricing give us a genuine advantage over both domestic competitors and offshore sources with long lead times.
What we're not: we're not your bank and we're not negotiators. You'll get a number fast, and it will be the real number.
Broad in-house capability, one facility instead of three. Our strongest categories carry deep inventory across many thread sizes and configurations.
Over 700,000 in stock, full line imported. Competitive at any volume across a wide range of thread sizes and configurations. Lead times in-stock to 8 months. Linkage ends are discounted when we include the linkage rod, tube or cable.
Over 1,000,000 yoke ends and clevis ends regularly in stock. Many parts are dual sourced in-house and off-shore. Attaching pins and clevis pins are highly competitive when purchased with the yoke/clevis. Linkage ends are discounted when included with the linkage rod, tube or cable.
Over 1,000,000 spherical rod ends in stock at any one time. Over 600 configurations include male, female, inch and metric, with and without studs; materials include stainless, plated steel, chrome moly and aluminum. Races include nylon, steel, bronze and PTFE. Competitive in any volume. Rod ends are discounted when included with the linkage rod, tube or cable. Full line of accessories available including spacers, rubber boots, weld-in thread bungs and more.
Competitive at any volume on push-pull cables (not brake cables) that are threaded on one or both ends and use standard inch or metric ends.
Tube fabrications for structural applications using press forming, welding, machining, rotary swaging, linkage ends and powder coating fit nicely within our competitive niche. Plate laser cutting, bending, welding and powder coating also done in-house. We also have in-house tube laser capabilities.
We upset forge bar up to 3/4" diameter, and can upset forge tubing via a combination of rotary swaging and upset forging. A cost-effective process for unique designs, upset forging can eliminate welding and turning while saving material and processing. The ability to gather 8 material diameters on bars up to 10' long solves problems beyond the capacity of the cold heading process.
In-house powder coating across a broad spectrum of standard colors. Fabricated assemblies quoted with finish included: one order, one supplier, one lead time.
FDM and SLS in-house in engineering-grade materials (Nylon 12, Nylon 11, TPU, ASA, PETG). SLS yields production-grade parts with real strength and complex geometry, no hard tooling required.
Mechanical linkage assemblies in any volume; tubing and bar fabrications with molded polyurethane bushings or sewn products. The complex assemblies nobody else wants to quote are often where we're most useful.
